Our very first nursery in the heart of East London

Welcome to the vibrant East London community of Hackney Wick. In 2020, MEplace Nursery HWK opened its doors. When demand grew quickly, our second site opened next door in 2022, and we named the sites ‘MEbaby’ and ‘MEbig’. We’re so proud of our thriving HWK nurseries, which reflect and celebrate our local community from our teachers to our toddlers!

Space

Hackney Wick is home to our first ever MEplace nursery, and from our very beginnings, we’ve designed spaces which promote and foster children’s independent exploration. With our ‘MEbig’ site for over 2s, and ‘MEbaby’ for our youngest learners, we proudly serve our thriving East London community.

Team

Our passionate, caring team – the majority holding education and psychology-related degrees – understand the importance of quality interactions and relationships between children and educators. Activities

We understand the importance of a play-based, holistic educational journey, which nurtures physical and mental health in the early years. Alongside our daily programme of child-led and supported activities, children at MEplace HWK enjoy an enriching array of extracurriculars, including sports, Spanish and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths)! What's more, our little explorers connect with nature in beloved Forest School sessions. We’re supporting our young learners to develop their curiosity, confidence and self-concept, helping them to love their ME!

Outings

With dedicated daily outing slots for each age group, we ensure that our children are provided access to outdoor learning in natural, green spaces, such as the nearby Victoria and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Parks. Additionally, the team plan regular educational visits to places of interest such as museums and Hackney City Farm, enriching children’s topic-based learning. Safety is our top priority, and our outing locations and routes are subject to thorough and up-to-date risk assessments.

Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Hackney Wick, our neighbouring nursery sites sit at the intersection of community life and green space. Tucked between two beautiful parks, the possibilities for exploration with our little learners are endless. We’re moments away from the Hackney Wick Overground station, and within 20 minutes you can travel from our East London home right into the heart of the city.
